Can I take CAA with my medications?

All nutrients in the CAA capsules are natural to the body and are in normal daily amounts. So they should not react with medical drugs. The symptoms the drugs are treating however may gradually disappear, or reduce over a three month period as you take CAA. The drugs could then possibly affect you abnormally. This aspect would need to be monitored with your doctor.

Those on the blood anti-coagulant Warfarin normally take CAA without any reported problems.

Click here to see a list of some testimonials to give you an idea of the excellent results users are getting with CAA.

Should I take any other vitamin or mineral
 supplement with CAA?

Yes, I do recommend Calcium. This can be obtained from our high quality Coral C product which is pure Coral Calcium in a capsule. Coral Calcium is recognised as the best natural Calcium available and contains numerous colloidal minerals from the sea.

I recommend Omega 3 fish oil and Cod Liver Oil.

I also recommend CoQ10 for those who are middle aged or older, for athletes, and anybody who lacks energy or muscle strength. Omega 3 fish oil, Cod Liver Oil and CoQ10 is found in our CoQ10-Omega3 capsules. Many of our customers swear by these.

I also recommend Colloidal Silver. Three teaspoons a day. And also to keep some in a spray bottle for the nose and throat when colds are around. I believe Silver is a trace mineral we are seriously lacking in our modern diet. Nothing else can account for the miracles continually reported by those who take this mineral.

You can buy Colloidal Silver ready made or make it yourself economically at home with a simple-to-use Colloidal Silver Generator.

As regards other brands of supplements, the minerals in CAA are in a natural balance developed by Percy Weston over a 50 year period.

Many other supplements contain high levels of some B vitamins which can affect your sleep, and cheaper, less absorbable vitamins, especially the important B12 and cheaper minerals that are not absorbed well.

Can children take CAA?

Once toddlers are eating solid food they should be able to take one CAA capsule every second day, or half the contents of one capsule every day. This can be mixed with their food or in baking if they don't like to take a capsule. But monitor this carefully at first to make sure there are no reactions.

From school age onward this can be increased to one capsule a day, but monitor this change also.

During teenage growth spurt years, the need for minerals skyrockets. If a 14-17 year old appears listless or depressed they could try taking two CAA a day, plus if you are able to afford it, two Coral C and CoQ10-Omega3 capsules.

Should I take CAA or the Triple Pack if I am pregnant?

Yes, very much so. It is even more important to take CAA while attempting to become pregnant, so as to have all required trace minerals during first two weeks following conception. This is when the foundation of a healthy child is laid down. By the time you discover you are pregnant it can be too late.

New Zealand farmers have found that supplementing their animals prior to breeding produces excellent, healthy progeny.

Will CAA cure my Arthritis?

No guarantee, but it does seem to be the best bet by far. CAA was developed by 100 year old Australian farmer Percy Weston over a 50 year period. He started off curing his sheep of Arthritis, and then cured himself of serious Arthritis during his late 30’s. When he turned 100 years old in 2003 he still had no Arthritis.

However this is a two part program, it is necessary to keep your Calcium intake from food above your Phosphorus intake. Phosphorus intake should ideally be only around 500 - 600 mg a day. This is most important for sufferers of serious arthritis. To help you achieve this I have produced my $5 booklet called Phosphorous and Calcium Levels in NZ Foods listing the Phosphorus and Calcium levels in 500 NZ foods.

Because our modern foods are lacking in Calcium, typically 50% less than 100 years ago, many people find it difficult to achieve this correct Calcium-Phosphorus balance. However it is easily achieved if you take our high quality Coral C Calcium supplement. However for the best bone and joint health, your Phosphorus intake should be kept comfortably below your Calcium intake, ideally half.

Also, by cutting down high Phosphorous foods (mainly expensive meat), you can normally more than save the monthly cost of CAA and Coral C. You can even save the cost of our highly recommended Triple Pack.

See also the next Question below.

Why isn’t my Arthritis fully responding to CAA?

In most cases CAA produces miraculous results with all types of Arthritis. However, if these results seem slow in coming, make sure that you are following the ‘golden rule of health’, "Never eat when not hungry."

However some New Zealanders do require more Boron than normal to keep Arthritis and Osteoporosis at bay. CAA only contains 3 mg per capsule but that should be sufficient for most needs.

However we are presently developing a stand alone Boron and Selenium supplement that will provide a further daily 10 mg of Boron, plus 150 mcg of Selenium, for those with higher than normal needs. This should be available April 2007 and will most likely be called Boron + Selenium.

I also recommend our CoQ10-Omega3 capsules, or at least a teaspoon a day of some form of Omega 3 fish oil or flax seed oil. Or alternatively a tablespoon of ground flax seed also known as linseed. This is available from Binn Inn shops in New Zealand and is quite cheap.

If extra Boron and Omega 3 fails to work, there can be a significant emotional factor in some cases of Arthritis. Experienced natural healers maintain that we should never harbour anger or resentment towards another person. And that if we have been seriously hurt or offended by another person, we need to forgive them, move on, and place the justice of the matter in the hands of God to take care of. This is also a central theme in the teachings of Jesus.

Intestinal health is also important. A good de-tox may be necessary. We have the highly effective 21 day herbal cleanse kit called the Ultimate Cleanse to do this. The recommended diet during the period of the cleanse is equal in importance to the herbs.

Another problem can be in trying to raise your Calcium intake by taking Calcium tablets instead of fine powdered Calcium. Hard tablets are the worst form in which to take any form of Calcium. Research has shown that Calcium is poorly absorbed by the body unless mixed with Calcium-containing foods. Hard tablets tend to remain intact in the stomach and not mix properly with other foods. There are numerous reports of all kinds of tablets passing through the body, just nibbled around the edges by the digestive system. One doctor reports that he was skeptical about this claim, until one of his patients reported that four of her prescribed Calcium tablets, which she had accidentally left in her apron front pocket, passed through five washing machine cycles completely intact.

If you cannot afford Coral C Calcium, try taking half a teaspoon a day of Dolomite powder after a meal. Dolomite powder is getting hard to obtain nowadays, the only source in New Zealand that I am aware of is Skybright in Christchurch, 0800 200-707. However all evidence points towards Coral Calcium is being far superior to the limestone-sourced Dolomite.

Sleep is also critical. Our body cannot heal itself without restful sleep. Too much Vitamin B6, MSG, Aspartame-type sweeteners as found in diet drinks, caffeine, and some pharmaceutical drugs can interfere with sleep. (So too of course can the pain of arthritis.) But make every possible effort to achieve restful sleep.

Will CAA raise my low Iron levels?

The total amount of Iron is generally adequate in most diets, but drinking tea and coffee during meals can hinder uptake. Low iron levels can also be due to lack of other nutrients like Copper, Zinc and Vitamin C which are necessary for the efficient absorption of Iron. Low energy is usually a reliable sign that iron levels are below normal. Taking CAA daily is recommended.

CAA contains a moderate amount of absorbable chelated Iron, 5 mg from March 2007. Formally it only contained 1 mg for safety reasons. However as CAA is now available without Iron, this amount has been increased to a more suitable level for the average New Zealander. We have in the past had reports of some women who were taking CAA with the lower 1 mg level of Iron, being found to have too low a level of Iron during medical tests.

The latest RDI's (Recommended Daily Intake) for Iron (2006) are: Children and teenage boys 10.0 mg, Teenage Girls 15 mg, Adults 8.0 mg and Pregnant women a very high 27.0 mg.

From late May 2007 we will have a once-a-week Iron supplement for those with higher iron needs. This is designed to be taken just once or twice a week is to avoid any possible constipation problem.) This supplement called 7-Day Iron is designed for growing teenagers, menstruating women, pregnant women, labourers, and sports men and women. This supplement will provide a net 35 mg of high quality, chelated Iron in one capsule and will therefore provide an extra 5 mg of Iron per day per week. Iron is stored in the liver, blood and bone marrow for use as required. 7-Day Iron also contains Vitamin C for better absorption.

Can I take extra Vitamin C with CAA?

Yes. I have followed Percy Weston’s approved formula in the amount of Vitamin C contained in CAA, but more can often be useful.

However research has shown that just one apple a day, eaten with the skin, can provide the equivalent Vitamin C anti-oxidant action of 1000 mg of Vitamin C. Yet an apple only contains 10-15 mg of Vitamin C, but it is greatly multiplied by the flavonoids found in the skin of the apple.

Where is CAA made?

CAA is manufactured by a reputable company Zealand Health Manufacturing Ltd in Tauranga. They have a state-of-the-art factory which complies with the highest modern manufacturing standards.

CAA also complies fully with currently approved standards of ingredient quality and amounts of each nutrient. These amounts are set by medical health professionals.

Will CAA be affected by the ANZTPA Bill,
that was before parliament in 2007?

The adoption of the ANZTPA threatened to considerably decrease the effectiveness of CAA.

For example, the arthritis-preventing mineral Boron in CAA was not approved for use in human supplements in Australia. We use this mineral with excellent results. NZ farmers also supplement their animals with this mineral.

The essential mineral Selenium, which guards against cancer, promotes relaxation and sleep, and helps prevent enlarged prostate (which requires men having to get up during the night to urinate) is restricted in Australia to a largely ineffective 25 mcg. Modern research recommends over 200 mcg a day. We currently use the NZ permitted maximum of 150 mcg with high effectiveness.

Another major worry of the Act was the requirement of duplicate independent testing of the purity of each batch of raw materials, at around $400 per test, per ingredient. CAA has 24 separate ingredients. It also appears that each new ingredient batch would require a second independent test for purity, even though it has already come from the manufacturer with an independent certificate of purity.

This could not help but considerably raise the manufacturing cost of CAA.  We could understand the need for this if there were widespread reports of inferior raw materials, but this does not appear to be the case in New Zealand. This requirement can work to the advantage of major Australian manufacturers, as it would cost just as much to test a tonne of raw material as it would a kilogram.

If the bill ever returns, I would like to see the following provisions made:

1. No natural mineral or herb be restricted for use in a reasonable dosage, unless there have been, or there occurs in the future, widely reported harmful consequences (for example, BZP in recent years).

2. That there be no requirement for a second independent certification of raw material purity unless there are widely reported suspicions of inferior quality from a given source.

Why do you not include Germanium in CAA?

I have researched Germanium and it appears that Chromium, which is already in CAA does the same job in the human body as Germanium.

Most Germanium sold for medical reasons (the 132 variety) is non-organic and has been known to harm body organs.

Can I overdose on CAA?

There should be no risk of overdosage on CAA as all the ingredients are those found in normal wholesome foods.

The several minerals that could be toxic in excess, Selenium, Boron, Copper and Iron are well within safety levels. even if five capsules a day were to be taken.

Will CAA help my high blood pressure?

It could well do so. We do receive reports from CAA users whose high blood pressure has dropped significantly. Not in every case however.

Most high blood pressure is caused by long term stress or anxiety. High blood pressure medications such as beta-blockers, work by treating this aspect of the disorder.

Our Coral C Calcium and CoQ10-Omega3 can also help. Calcium, CoQ10 and Omega 3 are all known to lower high blood pressure. Many of our users report this benefit.

Relaxing sleep is most important. Most sufferers from high blood pressure do not sleep well. Winding down before going to bed, and not eating or drinking (apart from water) after 7 pm can help greatly. An affectionate pet also helps.

You may possibly not even have a real problem with high blood pressure. One doctor studying high blood pressure organised a group of hypertensive patients to be hooked up to mobile blood pressure transmitters in a large room for a long period of time. He monitored them all on his computer continually by remote control as they rested, moved around, or interacted with each other. He was fascinated to find that when they moved around alone, or sat and relaxed, their blood pressure dropped significantly, sometimes down to normal. But when they interacted with each other, or with medical staff, their blood pressure rose again, sometimes sharply. He came to the conclusion that high blood pressure can be artificially induced by the stress of social interaction, and/or by medical personnel intervention, and that marked fluctuations are normal.

The same doctor also mentioned that a weightlifter’s blood pressure typically soars to over 250 when he is making a lift.

Percy Weston was adamant that his minerals, as well as protecting against Cancer and Arthritis, also kept the arteries clear. When he died in his 101st year he evidently had no artery problems, cancer or arthritis.

What if I have a reaction to CAA?

A doctor who owned the company that formerly manufactured CAA for us, has suggested that reactions to natural minerals such as found in CAA can sometimes be the body healing itself. He advised that rather than stopping altogether, it would be better to cut down the frequency for a few weeks, perhaps just one every three days, and see if the symptoms die down, and then try resuming the full dose.

Over the past two years, a number of light framed women have reported feeling a little light-headed after taking CAA. This has been traced to the highly absorbable Niacin content. CAA now contains a high quality Swiss Niacin that does not have this effect.

A few first time customers have reported minor digestive upsets during the first week of taking CAA, but these invariably disappear once the body adapts.

I’m normally allergic to Sulphur, will I react to CAA?

The Sulphur in CAA is non-allergenic and is called Biological MSM Sulphur. This is the best dietary Sulphur available and similar to that found in eggs. If a person can eat eggs without reacting to Sulphur they should have no reaction to MSM Sulphur.

CAA is now available without Sulphur.

I have heard that certain minerals work against each other?
How does CAA overcome that?

Nearly all foods naturally combine minerals that have been reported to conflict with each other under unnatural conditions.

These unnatural conditions commonly arise during laboratory experiments involving human volunteers taking minerals on empty stomachs, or in the form of tablets that do not break up immediately in the stomach. Under these unnatural conditions, minerals travel together in a small clump down the narrow 7 meter length of the small intestine and can compete with each other.

However, when CAA, which is in powdered capsule form, is taken with a meal as recommended, all the minerals are dispersed evenly among the large bulk of food in the stomach, due to natural stomach churning, just as nature intended. The minerals are then extracted gradually, one by one over several hours, by the millions of hair-like receptors called villi, along the huge seven meter length of our small intestine which has the surface area the size of a tennis court.

As regards stomach acid, a properly functioning stomach is guided by a pH regulator among other miraculous devices, and should provide all the acid needed to process the food provided for digestion.

However Proton pump inhibitor drugs such as the widely prescribed Losec can seriously interfere with this process and greatly reduce the absorption of some minerals.

Testimonials that come in daily from users reordering CAA are convincing proof that the minerals and vitamins are being absorbed properly. CAA is as good as we can make it with our present knowledge.

Can I still buy rhomanga TM?

We exhausted all supplies of rhomangaTM in both Australia and New Zealand in June 2003. We were advised at the time by our suppliers that the Australian manufacturer would shortly have more stock available for us within a few weeks, so we continued to accept back orders from our customers.

However, as the weeks went by, our suppliers continually advised us of further delays, plus a probable price rise due to strict new ingredient testing regulations in Australia. We were soon in a very embarrassing situation, with many pre-paid orders and no likelihood of stock.

For this reason, but also with a desire to enhance an already good product, I arranged for a high quality rhomanga TM equivalent, but in capsule form for better absorption, to be formulated and made here in NZ by a reputable manufacturer in Christchurch. This was obviously the right decision, as over a year later, rhomangaTM still had not been manufactured.

(RhomangaTM is now however again available from Health Search International Ltd, at http://www.health-search.com/order.html  Cost for 60 tablets delivered is $45.00)

The enhanced NZ formulation called CAA (which stands for Cancer, Arthritis and Artery protection) are openable capsules containing all the minerals found in rhomangaTM but in more absorbable form, and also those found in Percy Weston’s original powder formulation, with the exception of sodium (salt) which is now abundant in the average NZ diet.

Percy Weston's original powder formula contained higher amounts of some minerals than the tablet rhomanga TM contained. These higher amounts have been included in CAA

Also, to greatly enhance the formulation, I added important minerals for New Zealanders. These are Selenium, Boron, Chromium, Copper, Iodine, and also Vitamin D, and more recently Vitamin B3 Pantothenic Acid.

These extra five minerals are due to our New Zealand soil deficiencies of Selenium, Boron, Chromium, Copper, Iodine and are essential for optimum health protection. And also the natural remission by the immune system of cancer, arthritis and artery disorders for New Zealanders.

Vitamin D is also important as levels are often found to be very low in New Zealanders, especially during late winter and among those who spend little time in sunshine.

Vitamin B3 Pantothenic Acid is a natural relaxant made by a healthy liver. However modern research has discovered that many people to not make enough Vitamin B3.

None of these important extra minerals and vitamins are found in the Australian formulations. I have also gone to the added expense of supplying the CAA as a powder in twist-apart capsules, giving you the option of taking it either as a daily capsule, or as a powder.

Development of CAA has been ongoing with continual improvements since 2003. The latest improvement, in March 2007 is an increase in Iron from 1 mg to 5 mg.

There has been considerable expense involved in developing and manufacturing this high quality product and using the finest ingredients available. However the price of CAA is competitive at $44.00, with free couriering anywhere in NZ.

CAA is now also available in three other variations for those with allergies, Without Iron, Without Sulphur, and Without Niacin.

How many iu’s of Vitamin D is in CAA?

There is no direct correlation between iu’s and mcg’s and mg’s, it varies with each vitamin. My book “Stay Healthy by Supplying What's Lacking in Your Diet” has a conversion formula for each vitamin. One mcg of Vitamin D equals 40 iu. Therefore CAA which contains 5 mcg of natural Vitamin D would supply you 200 iu.

Our CoQ10-Omega3 also contains 5 mcg/200 iu of natural Vitamin D per capsule. I strongly suggest sun bathing as the best way to make up any shortfall of Vitamin D. Three hours of NZ mid-winter sun on your face and hands should give you about 80 iu, and mid-summer sun about 400 iu. If you can expose much more skin than this you will receive huge amounts of Vitamin D which is stored in the liver for future use.

Our Coral C calcium is also invaluable for osteoporosis. You may wish to read the Japanese study on page 8 of our latest catalogue, or on the Coral C webpage.

Why is there no Calcium in CAA?

Percy Weston did not include Calcium in his powders, perhaps because Calcium was not a deficient mineral in the very early days of acid fertiliser use in Australia. It is however nowadays a seriously deficient mineral, with typical levels in most crops having dropped about 50% over the past 75 years.

The 1997 NZ Health Dept diet survey found that Calcium was the most deficient mineral of all the minerals surveyed in the NZ diet, especially among non-milk drinkers.

It is not possible to add useful amounts of Calcium to CAA because of the sheer bulk required. Calcium is such a bulky mineral that the daily requirement of Calcium would fill the 1000 mg capsule alone.

Nevertheless, I have now provided a high quality Calcium supplement in addition to CAA. This is Coral Calcium, which is the most absorbable natural Calcium available. The supplement is called Coral C.

Coral Calcium comes from above-sea coral beds on the island of Okinawa, Japan. This form of Calcium is highly absorbable (it even mostly dissolves in tap water), is full of valuable sea minerals and has been shown to reverse average bone loss in the hips of 85 year old Japanese women by 6% a year.

One of our New Zealand woman customers recently sent me two bone scan reports showing an increase of 28% in the bone density of her hip and 12% in her spine. That was after taking CAA and Coral C for just one year.

High quality Coral Calcium is however very expensive to obtain, and is therefore the same price as CAA, but you can mix and match with CAA to obtain quantity discounts. However the Triple Pack is the best value of all. This combines CAA, Coral C and CoQ10-Omega3 at a discounted bulk price.

A cheaper option to take a quarter to half a teaspoon a day of Dolomite powder with a meal. However food grade Dolomite is becoming hard to procure in NZ. Also, Dolomite which is made from crushed limestone is not as well absorbed as the organically based Coral Calcium.

Never use garden grade Dolomite as it often contains harmful minerals.

Will CAA reduce my high Cholesterol?

We have had reports of CAA reducing Cholesterol, nevertheless high Cholesterol appears to be more often due to ongoing mental stress, rather like high blood pressure.

Food sources of Cholesterol play a minor role. Cholesterol is made by our liver.

A balanced diet providing all trace minerals and vitamins is essential for the optimum levels of Cholesterol in our body cells and blood.

The correct mineral balance also helps to minimise stress as some minerals, such as Selenium, Calcium and Magnesium are natural relaxants.

For this same reason, sufficient exercise and a good night’s sleep is also important.

High Cholesterol is nowhere as harmful as pharmaceutical companies would like you to believe. In fact the higher your Cholesterol level when aged 65 or more, the longer you live. Blood Homocysteine levels are a far more accurate measure of heat attack risk.

If you have a history of heart disorders, lack energy, or are over 60, CAA, Coral C and especially our new supplement CoQ10-Omega3 should help greatly with your overall heart and artery health.

Bleeding gums can be a sign of a deficiency of CoQ10.

Will CAA heal my Gout?

For Gout we recommend taking Colloidal Silver and CAA together. This combination has helped painful long-standing serious gout with two of our local Maori customers.

The CAA is best taken with the evening meal and Colloidal Silver on an empty stomach.

Does too much Phosphorous block the
uptake of Calcium in my food?

Yes, excess Phosphorus, which is found mostly in high protein foods, does block the uptake of Calcium in food. You can avoid this by limiting your Phosphorous intake to no more than 500-600 mg a day (use our yellow $5 Phosphorous-Calcium booklet as a guide) and ensuring that your Calcium intake is 700 mg or more.

Calcium needs to be from food, or from fine powdered, capsulated Calcium such as our Coral C taken with food.

Hard Calcium tablets are generally poorly absorbed. (See a doctor's account of one woman’s reported experience with Calcium tablets in Question 6 above.)

How much Phosphorous do I need each day?

Percy Weston recommends that your daily Phosphorus intake does not exceed your Calcium intake from food. This is very important in regulating the pH of your body. His proposed book Cancer Fighting Foods was meant to address this, but has never been printed.

I have however compiled a similar NZ booklet listing the Phosphorus and Calcium levels of 500 NZ foods in daily servings. This booklet is called "Phosphorous and Calcium Levels in NZ Foods" and is available post free for $5.

Ideally our daily Phosphorus intake should be around 500 mg for women and 600 mg for men, (about half our Calcium intake). In a typical NZ meat-based diet, Phosphorus intake is very high, about three times more than our Calcium intake. This lays the foundation for many serious diseases.

Why are some healthy foods rated as unbalanced
 in Phosphorous booklet?

Do not be concerned about the rating of foods in the ‘Low Phosphorous Foods’ section of the first edition of this booklet. Phosphorous levels in these low phosphorous foods are so low as to be largely insignificant. Just be concerned about the foods in the red and green sections.

In recent reprints of this booklet, the foods in the Low Phosphorous Foods section have not been rated.

Does organically grown food have less Phosphorous content?

Only commercially grown NZ foods have been tested by Food and Crop research. However I have seen figures for American organically grown foods. The Phosphorous content remains about the same as commercially grown foods, but the other minerals such as Calcium tend to be 80% to 100% higher.

Are NZ organic farmers allowed to use Superphosphate?

I was recently informed by a NZ organic farmer that NZ organic farmers are not permitted to use Superphosphate.

Can too much Calcium be harmful?

The health problems generally believed to be caused by too much Calcium in the diet, are caused rather by too much Phosphorus in the diet. As Phosphorus intake increases, Calcium absorption decreases markedly, and can be deposited in the arteries and organs of the body. (Phosphorus is found in high protein foods.)

The ideal ratio of Calcium, Phosphorus and Magnesium (the three bulk minerals which work together in our bodies) is 4 - 2 - 1, ie, 4 parts Calcium, to 2 parts Phosphorus, to 1 part Magnesium.

In our meat-based New Zealand diet, and also because of the widespread use of super-phosphate chemical fertiliser, which tends to increase Phosphorus levels in foods, and depress Calcium levels) this intake is more like 1 - 3 - 1, ie, 1 part Calcium, 3 parts Phosphorous, and 1 part Magnesium.  This imbalance increases the pH of body cells and lays the foundation for many modern diseases. It is one of the main reasons we are in the midst of a serious cancer epidemic in NZ.  The optimum amount of Phosphorus for lifelong health appears to be about 500 mg a day for women, and 600 mg a day for men.

My $5 booklet "Phosphorous and Calcium Levels in NZ Foods" can be a useful tool for maintaining this balance. The 500 mg level of marine Calcium in Coral C tends to be about right for most New Zealand diets.

Do Calcium and Iron work against one another in the diet?

This is a theory that seems to have been disproven, at least as far as natural foods are concerned. Both Calcium and Iron are found together in many healthy foods, for example in milk, broccoli and beans. The little-used supplement Calcium Phosphate is however reported to hinder Iron absorption and this is probably where the theory originated.

What do I need to know to use my Colloidal Silver generator?

Only distilled water must be used. This is most important. Most distilled waters test around 1 ppm (part per million) mineral content, whereas filtered tap water typically tests at 35 to 85 PPM. Even NZ rain water is surprisingly high in mineral content at 5 to 10 ppm. These trace minerals will often combine with the silver to produce inferior compounds such as silver chloride.

You can make your own distilled water using a home distiller, but it is generally much easier and just as cheap to buy it ready-made from a supermarket or The Warehouse under the brand name Pure Dew or Hydr-8. See note below on latest high purity water.

The next day colour of your Colloidal Silver is a good guide to water quality, ideally it should be a clear pale gold. As long as your Colloidal Silver does not turn grey, brown or cloudy after standing overnight, the water quality is satisfactory.

For consistency in strength, time your generating process from the time you see a smoky mist hovering around one of the silver rods. This normally happens within five minutes but it can be very much longer (up to two hours) if the water is pharmaceutical grade purified water. (Before suspecting your Colloidal Silver Generator of malfunctioning, do a test using tap water. The mist should appear almost immediately.)

If the smoke-like mist should form in the water around one of the silver rods within 30 seconds, it is a sign that the water is not distilled and/or has too high a mineral content. This will not make satisfactory Colloidal Silver. It will instead produce a grey or muddy brown solution which has been found to be inferior in laboratory tests.

Time your total generation time from the moment you see this smoke-like mist.

Use the following guidelines for varying amounts of distilled water to either 5 or 10 ppm. The timer on your stove can be useful for this purpose.

Container size       5 ppm              10 ppm

250 ml water       15 minutes        25 minutes

500 ml water       30 minutes        50 minutes

750 ml water       45 minutes        75 minutes

1 litre water         60 minutes      100 minutes

2 litres water      120 minutes      200 minutes

Some experimentation with generating time and water quality will probably be necessary until experience is gained. You may decide to purchase a $102 Colloidal Silver ppm Meter from us and measure the ppm as you generate. This takes away all the guesswork.

The silver rods will gradually diminish in thickness over time, as the silver dissolves in the water. Only the rod clipped by the red positive wire clip wears away, so swap the clips around from time to time to even out the wear.

A set of rods should last for years in normal use and make over 200 litres of Colloidal Silver at 5 ppm (parts per million) concentration before dissolving completely.

Colloidal Silver – why is it taking so long to start generating?

Since Jan 2007, the purity of Pure Dew has been increased from 2 ppm (parts per million), which was ideal for making Colloidal Silver, down to about 0.5 to 1 ppm. Hydr-8 brand is similar. We have approached the manufacturers but they say this is due to newly installed better equipment and cannot be changed. (But see NOTE below.)

Both these distilled waters, Pure Dew and Hydr-8 are now so free of minerals as to barely conduct electricity. Consequently they are very slow to start the reaction process to make Colloidal Silver. It can take about two hours or more for the generator to slowly build up sufficient silver in a litre of water to bring conductivity to the point where generation will start.

This starting point is indicated by what looks like smoke drifting around in the water near the silver rod connected to the red terminal.

Therefore it is recommended that you add 5% filtered tap water, or 20% of previously made up Colloidal Silver, to the distilled water before starting, to bring it up to 2 ppm. This does not affect the quality of your Colloidal Silver.

NOTE Good news. The last lot of Pure Dew that my wife Marie purchased in Tauranga during June 2009, tested back up to 2 ppm and made perfect Colloidal Silver straight out of the bottle.

Can I make my own Colloidal Silver generator?

Max Crarer’s original book on Colloidal Silver contained instructions on constructing a do-it-yourself Colloidal Silver generator for home use. We can supply you Silver Rods for $24 a pair. However we have found that most customers who attempt to make their own units end up buying the professionally made $110 Colloidal Silver generator because of the sheer convenience of it.

Once a the generator is paid for, the cost of making Colloidal Silver works out at only about 40c a bottle, whereas the same product in a Health Shop can cost over $40.00 a bottle. Our generators are reliable units and work well. We have sold hundreds. The Colloidal Silver ppm Meter for measuring the ppm as you generate is also very useful to have, but is not essential.

Colloidal Silver generator rods – how pure do they need to be

We have our silver rods imported and manufactured in New Zealand by a reputable company Morris and Watson in Auckland. Some years ago we originally ordered 99.999% pure silver, but were informed that 99.9% is the highest industry standard worldwide, and any claims over that may well be true but are just sales talk.

So Fine Silver (as it is known in the precious metal industry) at 99.9% purity is the highest purity available anywhere. This highest grade of silver gives excellent results with our Colloidal Silver generators. Never use Sterling Silver which is only 92.5% pure.

Will Colloidal Silver help my Arthritis?

Yes, we have had numerous reports of Colloidal Silver helping Arthritis, and numerous other health problems. For the best results with Arthritis (and Gout) we recommend taking both Colloidal Silver and CAA. The CAA seems to be best taken with your evening meal and the Colloidal Silver on an empty stomach anytime.

Can I use stainless steel utensils with Colloidal Silver?

Most of the literature I have read on Colloidal Silver forbids the use of stainless steel, but I cannot see why, as it is non-magnetic. I have yet to see any reasoned scientific argument, or actual test to demonstrate why it should not be used. My own experiments have satisfied me personally that there is no harm in using stainless steel.

There is little in-depth research of any sort on Colloidal Silver, probably due to lack of research money by public health organisations, and disinterest by pharmaceutical companies. There are plenty of opinions around however, especially by manufacturers.

I believe that stainless steel is perfectly all right for stirring, and that quality, shiny, food grade PET plastics are fine for storage purposes. I have experimented with both these materials and have obtained perfect results.

Can I use rainwater to make Colloidal Silver?

Rainwater does not generally make good quality Colloidal Silver. The mineral content of most rainwater generally tests around 5 to 10 ppm mineral content, whereas 1-3 ppm is the desired range.

Are the Colloidal Silver Gel Kit ingredients safe?

The manufacturers of the Colloidal Silver Gel Kit we formerly sold, advise that the white polymer powder is a natural resin used in the manufacture of cosmetics. It is inert and has not been known to cause problems.

The activator is Triethanolamine, another safe product widely used in cosmetics, soaps and shampoos. It is not natural, but the only side effect listed by the manufacturers is a stinging of eyes and sensitive skin by applying the solution at full strength.

We now have a readymade, high quality, triple strength Colloidal Silver Gel in an attractive light-proof pot.

How do I generate a stronger Colloidal Silver
 to make the Gel?

You can make a higher ppm Gel by allowing the Colloidal Silver to sit for 24 hours after the first extended generation, (see above for making 10 ppm Colloidal Silver) and then generating it again for about an hour (500 mls). During this second generation, clean the electrodes every 20 minutes or black sediment will flake off the positive silver rod into the water. The Colloidal Silver should then again be left overnight and be dark brown the next day. Then make your Colloidal Silver Gel.

Why has my Colloidal Silver Gel gone grey?

The reason for Colloidal Silver Gel going grey, black or purple is due to sunlight contamination after generation. (This is why we package our Triple Strength Gel in black containers.) If this ever happens it will no longer work effectively.

Silver loses its electrical charge and turns black and inactive when exposed to too much light. That is the principle on which black and white photography is based. Air is not the cause, it is generally daylight passing through a clear glass or white plastic storage container that causes the colour change.

Will Colloidal Silver Gel get rid of Warts?

Yes, very gradually in most cases. However you can generally remove warts much more quickly with our Solar Keratoses cure than Colloidal Silver Gel. Just treat each wart or smear the Salicylic Acid paste over the whole area as you would a Solar Keratoses spot, for three consecutive days. Most of the activity occurs in the first hour so the paste can be washed off after that.

Is there a level of intake when Colloidal Silver become unsafe?

Probably not when made with distilled water. There have been no accounts of any adverse reactions to taking large amounts of Colloidal Silver when made with distilled water.

Argyria is a name for a silver reaction that can give a blue tinge to the skin under the nails and eyes. It does not appear to do any harm other than that, and can be reversed over time.

I am aware of two cases, a Rosemary Jacobs, and a Stan Jones. Evidently Rosemary's condition was caused by a Silver Nitrate nasal spray prescribed by her doctor, not by Colloidal Silver.

Stan Jones would generate an 8 oz glassful of Colloidal Silver every day, using tap water and salt which produces a very high ppm Silver Chloride. He drank this solution daily for 8 years before noticing his skin discolouration. Under these conditions it is not Colloidal Silver that is being made, but a silver compound whereby the silver has reacted with the minerals in the water, depending on what these minerals are. Silver Chloride is one possibility, or  Silver Calcite, or a Silver Magnesium compound.

Do you recommend Colloidal Minerals?

Yes and no. Colloidal Mineral preparations are heavily promoted as they are cheap to produce. But they usually do not list on the bottle the quantities of minerals they contain. This is because their mineral content is extremely low. You can get almost the same range and amount of Colloidal Minerals from a tablespoon of sea water a day, or by using unrefined sea salt on your food.

Unrefined salt contains every trace element required by the human body. It is also far cheaper than buying expensive liquid Colloidal Minerals (around $60 a bottle) which are seriously lacking in the bulk essential minerals you require, such as Magnesium, Potassium, Zinc, Manganese, Cobolt, Boron and Selenium, etc. However, all these essential minerals are found in CAA in optimal amounts and in the most absorbable bulk form.

Our bodies require bulk amounts of many minerals, especially Calcium, Potassium, Magnesium, Zinc, Boron, Iron and Copper. These large amounts just cannot be dissolved in small amounts of water. You would need to drink a whole bottle of Colloidal Minerals every day to get the Recommended Daily Intake (RDI) of some of these minerals. Neways Maximol is one exception, (they do add some extra minerals) but even here the mineral amounts are still very low.

All the minerals, elements and vitamins that have ever been reported lacking in NZ are included in our CAA and Coral C. We have made CAA as good as we know how at this stage. We could add a few grains of sea salt, which would increase the element number of minerals and elements by over 70, but in actual fact, the seaweed kelp that we already include, contains most, if not all of these elements anyway.

Nearly all but about 20 of the 90 nutrients some nutritionists say we require (there are over 5000 if you count plant flavonoids) are plentiful in our foods, especially in the life supporting foods such as eggs, milk, whole grains, vegetables and fruit.

Do you sell Zappers and Pulsars?

I personally do not have confidence at present in the effectiveness of Zappers or Pulsars. I have researched them and have experimented personally with a Zapper but have not been persuaded that they work.

On the other hand, Colloidal Silver is a tried and proven product that does work, and seems to do all that is claimed for Zappers or Pulsars.

Is the amount of gelatine correct in Dr Walech’s 90 day Arthritis cure?

The Gelatine amount has been amended to two heaped teaspoons a day. An earlier printing of my book Stay Healthy by Supplying What's Lacking in Your Diet had a much higher amount.

Dr Walech's cure has helped many arthritis sufferers, however our customers are achieving better results by using our trace mineral supplement CAA, based on a trace mineral formula refined over a 50 year period by 100 year old Australian farmer Percy Weston and with the addition of Boron, Vitamin D and Selenium which protects against both types of arthritis.

CAA contains all the minerals recommended for healing arthritis, (and many other health disorders) but does need to be ongoing, just as NZ farmers have to continually give their animals trace minerals throughout their lives, as these minerals are lacking in NZ soils. The cost of CAA is less than $20 a month, and by cutting down high Phosphorous foods (see below) this cost can be saved several times over every month.

To relieve and protect against arthritis is a two part program. As well as taking CAA, it is recommended that you lower your dietary Phosphorous intake to about 500-600 mg a day, and raise your Calcium intake to 800 mg or more. To help in this area we have a little $5 booklet called Phosphorous and Calcium Levels in NZ Foods that lists the Phosphorous-Calcium content of 500 NZ foods.

The bad tasting Gelatine (which is also low in Phosphorous and high in Calcium) is not now necessary as the same effect can be achieved by using normal high Calcium foods that taste much better. You will find these listed in the booklet, or you can supplement your diet with our Coral C Coral Calcium or a food grade Dolomite powder if you can obtain it.

The interesting story behind all this can be found on Cancer Cause and Cure book page of this website.

Check out the CAA testimonials. You will probably be quite impressed.

Why can’t you invoice me for my order?

We do at present give credit and send invoices to bulk-order health shops, but we do not have the accounting software nor the staff to offer this service to our valued retail customers. As you can appreciate, there are always a proportion of people who do not pay unless continually hounded, which wastes an enormous amount of time and goodwill. Therefore, as with other mail order companies, we do request payment with order. This way we can devote all our resources to fast efficient service and keep our costs and prices low.

I live overseas, how can I pay you?

You can pay using an overseas cheque or a bank draft (but not a postal order) or a Visa, MasterCard or Bankcard credit card. For credit card orders we have a secure order page.

Why do you have such long advertisements?

We have found over and over again the truth of the old advertising adage "The more you tell the more you sell." This applies particularly so to books. Most customers want to be reasonably sure a product is going to work before parting with their hard earned money. We like to provide our customers with all the facts.

Do you still have the Fascinating Womanhood

Is Vitamin B17 (Laetrile) an effective anti-Cancer agent?

This vitamin is found naturally in apple pips and apricot kernels and is a proven anti-cancer agent. It is found in our CN3 Herbal and CN5 Mineral preparations. Phone 0800 140 141 for more information.

What is CoQ10 and how will it help me?

CoQ10 is a vitamin-like enzyme made by our liver from plant oils. A decline in body levels usually occurs as we grow older. Cholesterol-lowering drugs (Statins) also hinder the manufacture of CoQ10. When levels drop to 75% of normal, disease appears, especially diabetes, gum disease and heart disease.

In an experiment repeated three times, mice treated with CoQ10 lived 56% longer than average.

Over 12 million Japanese are reported to take CoQ10 as a daily supplement, which may explain their superior longevity and freedom from heart disease and diabetes.

It is probably wise for anybody over 60 or with a history of diabetes, gum disease and heart disease to take this supplement. We now have the highest quality naturally fermented CoQ10 available, combined with a high quality salmon oil and cod liver oil for Omega 3 oil. It is called CoQ10-Omega3.

Even young sports men and women can benefit greatly from CoQ10. An 8% improvement in stamina has been reported from studies with athletes, using naturally fermented CoQ10. These results are not found with the much cheaper synthetic CoQ10. Our CoQ10 is naturally fermented.

Is CoQ10-Omega3 safe for pregnant women?

Yes perfectly safe, and highly recommended. Questions have been raised about the Vitamin A content of CoQ10-Omega3, however the RDI for pregnant woman rises 100 mcg from 700 mcg to 800 mcg, and CoQ10-Omega3 only contains 55 mcg.

Is CoQ10-Omega3 fish oil fresh?

We are fortunate with CoQ10-Omega3 in that CoQ10 acts as a natural preservative of fish oil. Also our sales are so high that the Salmon oil and Cod liver Oil is always fresh, as stock is imported and manufactured several times a year. I have also personally tested them and found no rancidity.

Will I get enough Iodine if I use natural salt?

On paper it would appear that there is insufficient Iodine in unrefined natural salt at only 8 mcg a level tsp, as the RDI is 100 to 150 mcg a day. However, the bio-availability of the colloidal Iodine in natural salt is reported to be much higher, at 98% as opposed to the chemically-added Iodine in refined salt at 40% bio-availability. The RDI is based on chemically-added Iodine.

In support of this is the fact that Iodine deficiencies are rare among people who live near the sea, indicating that Iodine from sea spray somehow finds its way into the blood stream of the body.

Goitre problems have been reported as high as 40% of the population in some communities, but these communities are invariable located inland.

You can always add kelp powder to your food or baking. Kelp powder is rich in Iodine and other sea minerals. CAA capsules contain 50 mcg of highly absorbable colloidal Iodine, from kelp seaweed.

How can I heal Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?

Lack of the following minerals have been linked with this problem:

Magnesium (RDI 320 - 420 mg)

Manganese (RDI 6000 mcg)

Vitamin B6 (RDI 1500 - 1700 mcg) (max 5000 mcg or 5 mg)

I also suspect that Boron is important.

All of the above are found in CAA capsules. I would recommend that you take two a day for a week, (one at lunch time and one with the evening meal) and then after one week, drop back to one a day after the evening meal.

It is equally important to limit your Phosphorous intake to no more than 500-600 mg a day using our yellow $5 Phosphorous-Calcium booklet as a guide.

Also ensure that your total Calcium intake is 700 mg or more, but not from Calcium tablets which are poorly absorbed. Our Coral C is an excellent source. Sound sleep is also vital.

Results should be noticed within three weeks.

How can I heal Addison's Disease?

This is a condition where the adrenal glands have become so exhausted that they no longer secrete an adequate amount of natural steroid type body hormones. President John F. Kennedy suffered from Addison's Disease. Doctors prescribe the synthetic steroid Cortisone which can have a very harmful effect on the body.

There seems to be no natural treatment listed on the internet apart from some success with Colloidal Silver.

However I feel that by taking CAA and balancing your Phosphorous and Calcium intake to normalise the pH of the body, there is a good chance of major improvement. I also believe that Colloidal Silver, which can kill internal parasites and normalise the body will help. We continually get wonderful reports from users of both CAA and Colloidal Silver. Neither are expensive.

How can I prevent Memory Loss?

It is vital that our brain be calm, receive sound sleep, and have good blood circulation for an efficient memory. To this end, frequent vigorous exercise is important, and also sufficient Omega 3 fats and CoQ10 which can be obtained from our CoQ10-Omega3. The minerals in our CAA capsules taken with the evening meal also seem to help in this area.

How can I heal watery eyes and other eye problems?

Watery eyes is a rare complaint not covered in my Stay Healthy book. It can be caused by an eye infection blocking the tear drainage ducts. Spraying with Colloidal Silver every few hours for two or three days should heal the infection if that is the cause.

Another reputed cure is to add Kelp powder to the diet. Kelp is rich in Iodine.

I have also found that many of our customers appear to develop eye problems when they decide to stop drinking milk later in life.

Max Crarer’s Eye book Healing Your Eye Problems with Herbs, Minerals and Vitamins may help.

What is the difference between Hypoglycaemia and Hyperglycaemia?

The problem of seriously fluctuating blood sugar is normally referred to as Hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar) by the medical profession, but the problem is often Hyperglycaemia, which is high blood sugar.

I was once called to a neighbour’s home by a distraught wife who could not awaken her diabetic husband. She did not dare to inject him with insulin as she did not know if his coma was due to too high, or too low blood sugar. When the medics arrived it was determined by a simple blood test that his blood sugar was too low. This is evidently the main cause of coma and the more serious of the two conditions, as it does not right itself in time if left alone, as can high blood sugar.

How can I heal a Hernia?

There are two kinds of Hernia, the muscle-rupture type in the lower abdomen or groin, and the Hiatus type in the lower chest which often causes heartburn. Only this second Hiatus type appears to be caused by, or can be remedied by diet.

The abdomen or groin type Hernia is said to be caused by a congenital muscle weaknesses that is usually present from birth. When, later in life we lose our muscle tone, through lack of exercise or stomach obesity, these weak areas can give way and split open. Over-strenuous exercise can also cause the same problem at any time in life.

Nutrition does not appear to be a significant factor in this type of Hernia and simple surgery seems to be the only remedy.

Why is Percy Weston’s Cancer Fighting Foods
 book not yet available?

This book is advertised in Percy Weston’s book Cancer: Cause and Cure (not published by us) but has not yet been printed (as of Dec 2009).

In the meantime, to enable you to monitor your Phosphorous levels, I have compiled an equivalent NZ booklet showing the Phosphorus and Calcium levels of 500 New Zealand foods, in daily servings. The booklet is called Phosphorous and Calcium Levels in NZ Foods and is available post free for just $5.

How can I contact Brenda Sampson the author
of the book about Dr Ulric Williams?

Brenda Sampson author of New Zealand's Greatest Doctor Ulric Williams died peacefully several years ago, but you can contact her sister Margaret Taylor who lived with her. Margaret’s address is 93 Waipapa Rd, Haitaitai, Wellington. Phone (04) 386-2514.

Should I take Melatonin to help me sleep?

Melatonin is a synthetic version of a natural hormone manufactured by our body to help us fall asleep. When our body makes this hormone naturally, it supplies it at the right time and amount, which is not always the case with a supplement. If you start taking Melatonin you may have to continue it for the rest of your life in order to get to sleep. It is prescription only in New Zealand.

Going to bed on an empty stomach, ie, no food after 6 pm can greatly help you to fall off to sleep. Also plenty of exercise during the day and winding down mentally before bed helps.

What role does Oxygen play in health?

We need more Oxygen than any other nutrient in the body by a long way. Our immune system is sensitive to small drops in oxygen in the blood. This is one of the main reasons we catch more infections during winter, when we spend more time indoors with closed doors and windows, breathing air with reduced oxygen content. It is rare to catch a cold out in the fresh air.

During the past two world wars, entire regiments remained cold and flu free while sleeping in the open air. American Plains Indians also maintain they never caught colds until they started living in ‘white man’s houses’. You should always try to sleep with bedroom windows open at night to ensure adequate oxygen. Forced ventilation systems, where air is brought in from the ceiling cavity 24 hours a day can be another option. These systems work very well.

How can I heal Multiple Sclerosis (MS)?

Multiple Sclerosis is a disorder that increases in incidence the further a person lives from the equator. Therefore plenty of sunshine on the skin would appear to be essential to prevent and heal this disorder.

Multiple Sclerosis often goes into remission, perhaps as Vitamin D levels increase.

Cures have been reported with 3000 mg daily of soluble Colostrum or Vitamin D therapy of 4000 mcg a day plus plenty of Omega 3 oils which can be obtained by eating fish three times a week, or by a fish oil (or flaxseed oil) supplement such as our CoQ10-Omega3.

Manganese levels are also critical. This mineral can be obtained our CAA capsules or from wheat germ.

One reader of my Stay Healthy book went into remission of Multiple Sclerosis just by ensuring that his diet met the RDI requirements for all vitamins and minerals.

How can I prevent Heart Fibrillation?

Heart Fibrillation is often associated with lack of Omega 3 oil. The Salmon or Cod liver oil as used in our CoQ10-Omega3 seems to be best, but you can also use Flaxseed oil.

I also recommend our CAA mineral vitamin capsules. These often produce miraculous results. I also encourage vigorous walking in the fresh air.

Why are there no diets in your "Stay Healthy" book?

Written diets are of limited value in my opinion, as we are all so different. I feel it is generally best to begin eating wholesome foods and then just listen to our body, and our appetite, and select foods accordingly.

Also rely on your sense of smell, just like an animal does. They always have a sniff of their food before eating. If we have a good appetite and are eating a reasonably healthy diet, and a certain food does not smell good to us, it is probably not required by our body.

What do you think of low-carb diets
and our body’s need for grains?

I believe that whole grains, especially wheat, are desirable for long term health, despite what the low-carb diet and blood group advocates might believe. Wheat germ oil is by far the richest source of natural Vitamin E, which is essential for human heart health and the body’s manufacture of CoQ10.

Wheat germ is only found in stone ground wheat bought from a health shop. The so called wholemeal flour, as sold in NZ supermarkets, is only white flour with bran added. It contains no wheat germ at all, in order to lengthen its shelf life.

Extra gluten is also added to most supermarket flours. This is the flour ingredient that allergenic people react to.

Most wheat allergies disappear when the original Spelt wheat is used instead of the modern Red varieties which have been bred for easier threshing. Spelt wheat is also richer in protein and other minerals, rises better, and to me, tastes better.

Do you recommend food combining?

As our body has about 9 hours to absorb minerals during the long passage of food through our small intestine (about 7 metres long), I am sceptical of claims of poorer absorption in a healthy body by the mixing of the five different food groups together.

These five food groups are fats, proteins, fibre, sugars and grains. Yet there are hundreds of natural foods, especially grains, beans and peas that contain all of these five food groups.

Is raw food more nutritious than cooked?

Many plant-based foods are more nourishing raw, especially fruits. However most vegetables and beans are actually more available to our body lightly cooked, especially steamed.

They are also generally more tasty after cooking and it would appear that God intended us to consume them this way.

Should I trust in divine healing rather than
 pharmaceutical drugs?

This important question came to me in a letter from a mother whose son suffers from epilepsy, for which there is no medical cure. Sensing her Christian faith, I wrote in reply as follows:

"Dear M..., thank you for your letter. You have a right to be concerned about the medication your son is taking. I have enclosed some information about the side effects of the drugs you listed, but you are probably already aware of these."

"I feel for you M... Medication in these cases is not the answer. I am sure your prayers will eventually bring a healing to your son, without drugs, as long as you trust completely in God rather than man."

"The Lord’s promise to us in the Bible that "all things will work together for our good." This promise is clear and sure. All He asks in return is that we fully repent of all our past wrongs, forgive those who have hurt us, fast and pray earnestly, love Him and keep his commandments on love. If we then trust him completely and follow the peaceful promptings of His Holy Spirit, his promise to us is sure."

"Have the faith and courage to trust God’s written word and spiritual promptings, no matter what godless, educated men might say to the contrary. God has the power to heal your son and all that he requires is your faith and your trust in him, and your spiritual cleanliness."

How can I find a good Naturopath or
 natural Health Practitioner?

Contact two or three local heath shops. Ask to speak to the owner and ask their opinion. They are normally in the best position to judge.

Can CAA or Coral C cause constipation or loose bowls?

There may be a settling down period from 7 to 10 days with CAA. Your bowels could go either way, but this always settles down. Most people do not experience any change at all.

Coral C Calcium may cause mild constipation for up to a week. But this is rare, and as with CAA the body should soon return to normal or better than normal.

The main causes of constipation are lack of fruit vegetables whole grains and too much sitting. Brisk walking, remaining mostly on our feet during the daytime, a daily kiwifruit, and wholemeal bread are all effective remedies.

My wife is suffering from low bone density.
How much Coral C should she take?

She would need to get her total Calcium intake up to around 1000 mg a day, taking into account what she is already getting from her diet.

Probably one Coral C capsule would be enough. But it is also important that her Phosphorus intake not exceed her Calcium intake (ideally it should be only half) as this can result in very poor Calcium absorption, or even loss of Calcium.

Iron is also very important. An important experiment was done in 2002 by the Dept of Human Nutrition, Kansas State University. Rats, which are similar to humans in bone nutrition, were fed a diet very low in iron and calcium. After 5 weeks (equivalent to 5 human years) the results were alarming. The rat’s bones lost 90% of their strength compared to the control rats, and snapped very easily. The bar graph in our 7-Day Iron advert is taken from their report.

It would appear that this is what is happening in humans of all ages today. Iron and calcium are the two most common mineral deficiencies

Also if your wife is at, or past menopausal age she probably requires extra Progesterone hormone (as a rub-on skin cream). This balances the excess estrogen in our modern diet. This imbalance is one of the main causes of osteoporosis in women.

Are the minerals and vitamins in CAA natural?

The two bulk minerals in CAA are in natural Chloride and Oxide forms which are the richest sources of these minerals. The others minerals are chelated (bound with absorbable proteins sugars or amino acids) or pure organic.

The vitamins in CAA are natural, apart from a few of the B's which are synthetic (and only available in this form). They are however 100% identical in make up and effectiveness to the same vitamins found in our food, or manufactured by our body.

Cost is never a factor in selecting the ingredients for CAA. We have in every instance used the best and most concentrated and most net absorbable form of every mineral and vitamin. We constantly monitor the latest nutrition research and whenever we feel we can improve on the formulation of CAA, we do so.

What is the EPA and DHA content of Co10-Omega3?

The 725 mg of Salmon Oil in CoQ10-Omega3 contains 18% EPA and 12% DHA. Therefore this will give you 130 mg EPA and 87 mg DHA.

The 225 mg of Cod Liver Oil contains 11% EPA and 9% DHA, as well as high quality vitamins. Therefore this will give you 25 mg EPA and 20 mg DHA.

Therefore the totals of CoQ10-Omega3 are 155 mg EPA and 97 DHA. These percentages are consistent for all Salmon and Cod liver oils, but the quality can vary.

Colloidal Silver in plastic bottles – is plastic OK?

While it is true that older type plastics can react with Colloidal Silver, our plastic bottles are made from the new, high quality PET plastic that has been recently developed for acid soft drink market and pharmaceutical purposes. Although expensive, it is the equivalent of glass for inertness and is light in weight and safe.

CAA – Why have they become speckled?

Speckling is caused by dampness entering the capsules through the joins. NZ homes and especially kitchens are comparatively damp places as a rule. Because the minerals in CAA are highly absorbable, they are also necessarily hygroscopic, or readily inclined to absorb moisture, or dissolve in water. This problem can usually be avoided by keeping the lid screwed on tight, or better still, storing the CAA in the fridge which is much drier than the household air.

Speckling is not generally a problem with normal usage only when opened bottles are stored with the lid not tight. Admittedly speckling looks very unsightly, but it does not lessen the effectiveness of CAA. It is only water darkening certain minerals in CAA, just as a sand on a beach darkens when it is wet. Minerals are unaffected by age.

To lessen this problem our manufacturer installed  more efficient air conditioning system to lower the moisture levels even more than normal, during manufacturing. We have not had reports of the problem at all since I upgraded the CAA formulation during 2008.

Why am I getting erratic readings from
 my Colloidal Silver ppm Meter?

We have never had a faulty, black model Colloidal Silver PPM meter. Any erratic reading (generally too high) that develops has always been traced to dirty electrodes in the tip that goes into the Colloidal Silver. These can easily and quickly be cleaned as described below.

How to clean your Colloidal Silver ppm Meter electrodes

Any erratic reading (generally too high) that develops with our Colloidal Silver PPM meter has always been traced to dirty electrodes, in the tip that goes into the Colloidal Silver. These electrodes can easily be cleaned as follows:

1. Apply some household soap to a toothbrush and using hot tap water, scrub clean the electrodes and surrounding area, as if you were cleaning your teeth.

2. Rinse the electrodes thoroughly under a hot running tap.

3. Then dry with a tissue.

How to replace the batteries in your Colloidal Silver ppm Meter

The two AAA Alkaline batteries in your Colloidal Silver ppm Meter will normally last over two years in normal use. To replace them is a simple exercise, just do the following four steps:

1. Remove the cap at the top end of the meter by inserting a small screwdriver, or tip of a table knife in the small slot in the side of the cap (not the long slot in the top). Twist the screwdriver or knife and the cap should pop off. It is just a press fit.

2. Shake out the battery holder and replace the two AAA Alkaline batteries with new ones. There are pictures inside the battery holder of the correct direction each battery should be fitted,.

3. Replace the battery holder.

4. Snap the cap back into place by putting the non-slotted side in first.

Calcium – Auckland University survey results
 reported Sept 2007

1500 women, average age 74, took part in a five year Auckland University Calcium supplement survey. 750 women took a high amount (1000 mg) of limestone-based calcium (not organic Coral Calcium) and the other 750 women took a dummy placebo pill.

During the five years of the survey, 5% of the women had heart attacks and 1% (1 in a 100) of the women died. Those who died were split 50/50 between the calcium and placebo group.

Of the 4% who survived their heart attack, 2.5% were taking calcium and 1.5% were taking the placebo. In light of the numerous causes of heart attacks, this is a very tiny sample on which to draw any conclusions and is very likely accounted for by chance.

Surprisingly, some newspaper headlines claimed a 50% increased risk of heart attack (the difference between 2.5% and 1.5%). The true figure is 0.2% a year, well within the margin of error.

However assuming there were grounds for concern, none of the women were given any extra Boron or Vitamin D (found in CAA) to help absorb the large amount of extra calcium.

Nor was their dietary Phosphorous intake controlled. Excess Phosphorous greatly hinders the bone absorption of calcium and can cause the excess dietary calcium to be deposited in the arteries and kidneys.

In fact I have yet personally to hear of any customer, taking any one of our Triple Pack products to have had a heart attack.

The conclusion of the Auckland University research team was that 1000 mgs of calcium in a supplement may have been too much and that 500 mgs would be a more realistic amount. For older women we are inclined to agree. Our Coral C organic coral calcium capsules contain 525 mg of highly absorbable calcium which has been proven in hospital tests to increase hip bone density an average of 6% a year. We recommend one per day and also strongly recommend that a capsule of CAA be taken at the same time to provide Boron and Vitamin D, and that dietary Phosphorous intake not exceed total Calcium intake.

How can I get rid of brown age spots

Our Salicylic Acid Paste does not work on brown age spots, only on Solar Keratosis sun damage or warts.

Brown pigment age spots are commonly caused by low body selenium levels and often vanish when you increase organic selenium intake.

CAA is usually sufficient, but if you are already taking CAA you may wish to try taking two capsules a day for two months and see if they begin to fade.

I had a noticeable one on my left cheek before I started taking CAA and it has vanished completely.

Instead of taking two CAA you could instead try a bottle of Boron+Selenium which is also high in organic selenium.

The other alternative is to apply hydroquinone, a bleach, but I would try selenium first.

Polymyalgia – what causes it and can I get rid of it?

Polymyalgia is caused by lack of deep, restorative sleep. This in turn is normally caused by lack of the relaxing minerals in the diet, especially Selenium, Magnesium and Calcium. Also lack of exercise.

Poor sleeping habits can also contribute and also excess Vitamin B6 (over 5 mg a day). Vitamin B6 is a brain stimulant and prevents deep sleep. Many pharmaceutical drugs can have a similar affect. If you don't awake refreshed in the morning, your sleep is not doing its job.

Normally two months on our Triple Pack of CAA, Coral C and CoQ10-Omega3 will clear this problem up. Both my parents suffered from Polymyalgia in the past but have not had it come back since taking CAA. However you may have to look at any medication you are taking.

To ensure a sound sleep, try not to eat or drink after 7 pm. Ensure that your bedroom is completely dark and has a flow of fresh air. And try and keep any partner disturbance to an absolute minimum.

Causes of a low pH and ways to raise it

If your Saliva Test reads consistently below pH 6.8 it is a reliable sign that your immunity is below normal. In other words, your body cells are lower in oxygen than desirable, and therefore have less resistance to cancer and other serious disorders.

A low pH can be caused by three things:

1. Taking a prescribed statin drug, such as Lipex or Lipitor to artificially lower cholesterol. (It is wise to look into the serious side effects of these drugs. Go to Google on the Internet and type in something like ‘statin drugs dangers of ’. Then discuss the risks with your doctor. ) Other pharmaceutical drugs and weight loss preparations can have similar effects.

2. Not enough calcium. This is caused by lack of high calcium foods in your diet, and/or excess high protein foods, especially processed meats like hamburger and sausage. These meats are high in added phosphorus which hinders the uptake of calcium. A daily capsule of Coral C should overcome this.

3. High sugar foods, and excess coffee, both of which are highly acid forming.

Download a PDF brochure on How to Raise Your pH to Normal.

Glyconutrients – why do you not sell them?

My present opinion on Glyconutrients (cellular blood sugars) are that they are overpriced and unnecessary for the vast majority of the population. What the manufacturers don't tell you is that your liver manufactures the eight cellular blood sugars from regular sugars found in our everyday diet.

Glyconutrients could perhaps benefit people who have a malfunctioning liver, but I have not heard of any of our customers benefiting from taking them.

Eczema – will Colloidal Silver help?

Colloidal Silver works for some of our customers but eczema is noted for being very difficult to cure. Conditions strongly linked with eczema appear to be the following:

1. Inherited dry skin.

2. Emotional stress.

3. Food allergies.

4. Trans fats (as found in man made fats such as margarine, etc).

5. Lack of natural Omega 3 fats (found in fish oil, flax seed oil and evening primrose oil).

6. Lack of sunshine (Vitamin D).

7. No 621 MSG flavour enhancer (not always listed but found in most processed meats - hamburgers, sausages and also soups.

8. No 951 Aspartame sweetener (found in diet drinks etc).

9. No 2 Red colouring.

To clear up an outbreak of eczema, I would recommend eliminating trans fats and the three food additives listed above, especially processed meats and margarine. Taking three capsules a day of Omega 3 oil. Applying an emulsion of 75% water and 25% olive oil to the affected skin areas morning and night.

There is an emotional component to eczema. It seems to clear up when people are relaxed and sleeping well, or in holiday mode, and worsens during times of anxiety. CAA helps most people relax and sleep better.

A deficiency in Vitamin B2 Riboflavin has also been linked with eczema. This is found mostly in milk, broccoli, almonds, lamb, liver and kidney. It is also found in our CAA, as is Vitamin D.

Taking a good quality probiotic (bowel bacteria) can eliminate food allergies.

Is your CoQ10 the high quality Ubiquinol type?

Yes, our CoQ10 is the highest quality, naturally fermented Japanese Ubiquinol variety (and very expensive). It is fermented and manufactured to GMP standards by Mitsubishi in Japan, and also in the encapsulation here in New Zealand. The reports of greatly improved health we hear back from our customers are excellent.

Will CoQ10-Omega3 help me if I am taking a statin drug?

As regards the statin drugs Lipitor or Lipex, you might wish to discuss going off it with your doctor. The constant reports we hear are that it makes patients feel rotten and full of muscle aches. It appears to create more problems than it solves. COQ10-Omega3 could well be sufficient by itself and can also lower blood pressure. I would not take a statin myself.

As regards high cholesterol, researchers at the University of San Diego School of Medicine have discovered that high cholesterol in those over 75 years of age is protective rather than harmful. High cholesterol has also been linked to a lower incidence of Alzheimers and Parkinson's disease. On the other hand, low cholesterol is a risk factor for heart arrhythmia, the leading cause of death should a heart attack occur.  Blood Homocystein levels are a more reliable indicator than cholesterol for heart attack or stroke risk.

If you are interested in more information on this matter, I can recommend the free PDF (0.5 MB in size) download book by research chemist Shane Ellison M.Sc, "Hidden Truth About Cholesterol-Lowering Drugs".

How did Max Crarer die if he drank Colloidal Silver every day?

Max died of pancreas cancer, which is evidently the most fatal of all cancers. But Colloidal Silver is an bacteria and virus protector, rather than a cancer preventative. Keeping the body pH alkaline is essential to avoid organ cancer.

Have you considered using smaller capsules for CoQ10-Omega3?

We have in the past considered using smaller capsules, but the extra costs and the increase in the number of capsules to be taken each day, have ruled this out. There should not normally be a problem if the capsules are swallowed correctly. The average width of the human throat is 60 mm, compared to only 10 mm width and 25 mm length for this capsule. Lack of fluid, causing the capsule to catch on the way down appears to be the problem, rather than lack of clearance for the transit of the capsule. The following general guidelines for swallowing capsules may help:

Take a small drink of water first and swallow it to wet the throat. Then place the capsule near the back of your tongue. Take a another drink of water and tilt your head back slightly. As you swallow the water, the capsule should go down easily with the liquid.

Sometimes, a person tenses up when they are attempting to swallow pills or capsules, triggering a gag reflex. This can make it difficult to swallow even the smallest of pills. Steady deep breathing can help bring back a state of relaxation.

Vitamin D – can I overdose with the Triple Pack?

No. This should not be a problem. The NZ RDI for Vitamin D is 10 mcg for persons up to 50 years of age. Then increases to 30 mcg for those over 70. The Vitamin D content of CAA is 24 mcg, allowing for this higher RDI of the elderly. CoQ10-Omega3 contains 5 mcg, making a total of 29 mcg. A recent clinical trial conducted with healthy adults found that a regular Vitamin D intake as high as 250 mcg (10,000 iu) a day, did not cause any overdose health problems. Traditionally the upper level had been set at 50 mcg a day. Interestingly, just one tablespoon of Cod Liver Oil provides 350 mcg.

Why are most of the minerals in CAA chelated?

Chelated means that a mineral has been combined with a natural amino acid or sugar. This is the way minerals are found in our foods. It provides superior absorption and prevents conflicting minerals from interfering with each other in the digestive system. Chelation is highly efficient but an expensive way to ensure that minerals are well absorbed by the body. Safety and effectiveness of chelated minerals is a well established scientific fact.

Colostrum – What do the different code numbers mean?

Colostrum  is a natural secretion produced at the beginning of lactation after birth and designed by nature to provide nutrition, growth factors and immunity against disease to the newborn. Over the decades, it has been discovered that Colostrum offers a wide number of general health benefits for human adults These range from enhanced immunity to improvement in physical fitness.

Cow (or bovine) Colostrum is virtually identical to that of humans, but much richer. It contains a higher percentage of the beneficial proteins called Immunoglobulins and Growth Factors. This makes cow Colostrum of great health benefit to humans. These Immunoglobulins and Growth Factors are given a range of code letters. To learn more about what each one does, click here for a separate article.

Does Colloidal Silver kill good bacteria in the intestines?

Under test tube conditions, yes. But in the body there is no evidence of it doing so. It appears to be absorbed from the stomach before entering the small intestine.

What type of bean is the natural Vitamin E in CAA extracted from?

Only the natural 100% Vitamin E in CAA is extracted from the soybean oil. No potentially harmful proteins, hormones etc, are included. It is exactly the same Vitamin E as found in nuts, wheat germ, vegetables, etc.

DHEA 7-Keto – Is it as effective as regular DHEA?

DHEA is made by an extraction from the Mexican Yam plant, and then modified by a patented biochemical process to produce an exact copy of natural DHEA. This is only available by prescription nowadays as it can destabilise the sex hormones of the body.

The 7-Keto variety of DHEA is slightly modified further, so as not to affect the stability of the body’s sex hormones. However DHEA 7-Keto retains full effectiveness in other regards – youthful energy, weight regulation, enthusiasm, clarity of mind and memory, etc, and is safe and healthy. It is even superior some respects. In one experiment, mice were trained to negotiate a water maze and were then given DHEA or DHEA 7-Keto. The control mice took 34 seconds to negotiate the maze; those on DHEA took 22 seconds; and those on DHEA 7-Keto took only 7.6 seconds.
