In response to requests from our customers who had purchased Colloidal Silver Generators, we asked the world’s leading designer and seller of hydroponics electronic equipment, NZ Hydroponics International (now Bluelab Ltd ) to manufacture for us a precision Colloidal Silver digital ppm meter that reads in the 0-99 ppm range. 

They came up with this excellent little state-of-the-art, electronic battery-operated meter that is of high quality, yet only about half the price of an imported meter.

Simple to use

All you do is press the ON button to start the meter. Immerse the tip of the meter in the Colloidal Silver solution, and within a few seconds it reads off the value in ppm (parts per million).

Measure your distilled water first

PPM meters accurately read the mineral content of water, but they cannot determine what the minerals are. This requires a Spectrometer costing hundreds of thousands of dollars. 

Therefore to measure the ppm content of silver in Colloidal Silver you need to first measure the ppm content of the distilled water, before you start generating Colloidal Silver.

Distilled water typically measures between 1 ppm to 3 ppm. (Tap water usually measures between 30 ppm and 150 ppm.)

So to make 10 ppm strength Colloidal Silver from 2 ppm distilled water, you would run your Colloidal Silver generator until you obtain a reading of at least 12 ppm on the meter (ie, you subtract the difference
12 – 2 = 10). This procedure is quick and simple and takes all the guesswork out of making Colloidal Silver.

This has always been traced to dirty electrodes in the tip that goes into the Colloidal Silver.
